Does your domain meet Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook rules?

The DNS checks are done for you. The rest (alignment, one-click unsubscribe, complaint rate) is verified with the checklist below.

DNS queries go from your browser to a public resolver (Cloudflare, otherwise Google). Nothing is sent to Fluenzr.

When to use this checker

Before launching a first campaign from a domain, after switching sending provider, or as soon as your replies drop for no obvious reason. Since February 2024 at Gmail and Yahoo, and May 2025 at Outlook.com, messages from senders who do not authenticate their domain are rejected or filed as junk.

The test takes a few seconds and changes nothing. Run it again after every DNS change: one badly merged SPF record is enough to break all your sending.

How to read the result

"Compliant" means the record is present and correct. "Can be improved" flags a valid but too permissive or fragile record. "Missing" must be fixed before any sending. "Not detected" applies to DKIM: the test does not know your selector.

Perfect DNS is not enough. The rules also cover alignment, unsubscribing and complaint rate, hence the checklist: a single unticked point can be enough to damage your reputation.

Frequently asked questions

Do these rules apply to me if I send few messages?

The basic requirements (SPF or DKIM, TLS, low complaint rate) apply to every sender to Gmail. The heaviest ones (SPF, DKIM and DMARC, one-click unsubscribe) apply from 5,000 messages a day to personal Gmail addresses, and a sender who crosses that threshold stays classed as such.

Why is DKIM not detected although it is set up?

A DKIM key sits under a name that contains a selector chosen by your provider. The test tries about thirty common selectors, not all of them. Send yourself a message and look for dkim=pass in the header to settle it.

Is one-click unsubscribe mandatory in cold outreach?

Google's rule targets marketing messages and subscriptions. For prospecting, an easy way to object is still required by French law, and the List-Unsubscribe header also reduces spam reports. The safe choice is to add it.

What should I do if DMARC is set to none?

It is the minimum accepted for bulk senders. Add a reporting address (rua=), read the reports for a few weeks to spot services sending on your behalf, then move to quarantine and then reject.
