How many emails can you send per day without burning your domain?

Enter your mailboxes, domains and their age. You get a cautious volume and a ramp-up plan.

60

emails per day in total

20

emails per day per mailbox

1,260

emails per month over 21 working days

Your volume is limited by domain age: a recent domain has no reputation yet.

Assumptions used

  • A mature, warmed-up mailbox sends 40 outreach emails per day.
  • Factor by domain age: under one month 25%, 1 to 3 months 50%, 3 to 12 months 80%, beyond that 100%.
  • Factor by warm-up: none 25%, 2 weeks 50%, 4 weeks 75%, 6 weeks or more 100%. The lower of the two factors is used.
  • Cap of 100 emails per day across all mailboxes of one domain.
  • Start at 5 emails per day per mailbox (10 if warm-up already has two weeks), then 5 more each week up to the cap.
  • These are cautious orders of magnitude set by Fluenzr, not thresholds published by Gmail or Outlook, which publish none. Watch your bounces and complaints, and cut back if they rise.

When to use this calculator

Before adding mailboxes or a new domain, when you want to go from a few dozen sends to a few hundred a day, or when your bounces rise and you do not know whether you send too much.

The classic trap: buying a brand new domain and sending 200 messages on day one. Mailbox providers judge reputation over time, not intention.

How to read the result

The first figure is a total daily ceiling not to exceed, not a target. The table shows how to get there: start low, watch bounces and complaints, then climb in weekly steps.

If a warning appears, it is the factor holding you back: domain age only improves with time, warm-up can be extended, and the per-domain cap is worked around by adding a domain.

Frequently asked questions

Why cap sending per domain and not only per mailbox?

Reputation attaches to the IP address, the domain and the mailbox alike. Ten mailboxes on one domain share its reputation, so one bad campaign penalises them all.

Are these figures Gmail's or Outlook's?

No. No provider publishes an outreach quota. These are cautious assumptions, shown above, that you can compare with your own bounces and complaints.

Is warm-up essential?

On a new domain or mailbox it is strongly advised: it builds a history of normal exchanges before the first campaigns. It does not replace relevant content or a clean list.

What if my bounces exceed 2%?

Stop ramping up, clean your list (invalid addresses, disposable domains) and go back to the previous step. A high bounce rate is one of the fastest signals of poor list quality.
